Druk Gyalpo Ugyen Wangchuck_Nidup Pem (PMSS)

Scope: 

Ugyen Wangchuk was born at the Wangdue Choeling Palace in 1862.   From a very young age he was taught reading and writing by his uncle, Kuenzang Tenpai Nyima, the eighth Sungtruel incarnation of Tertoen Pema Lingpa.

ü  Like his father, Ugyen Wangchuck began his life at the court of his father at the lowest court retainers as Tozey, then among outdoor attendants as Zimgup and among the indoor attendants as the Changarps working even in the fields and collecting firewood.


Competency:

 The lesson on the life  and legacies of our first king  provide students with avenue for assessing  the contribution of  these leaders and consequences and impacts of their action.
