Course overview and scope
Organisms of different species can interact in many ways. A food chain describes how energy and nutrients move through an ecosystem. At the basic level there are plants that produce the energy, then it moves up to higher level organisms like herbivores. After that when carnivores eat the herbivores, energy is transformed from one to the other.
Competency
- Explore the adaptive features and feeding habits in plants and animals to protect their habitat or environment.
Objectives:
- Explain the food chain and feeding relationship of animals.
- Classify animals as per their feeding habits based on the observation in the locality.
