Course Overview and scope
Geometry is all about lines, angles, shapes and space. shapes are studied both in two dimensions and three dimensions. 2 D shapes are those that have length and width, like square. 3 D shapes are those shapes that have length, width and height like cube. Geometry is useful for studying topic like architecture, are and astronomy. This course will help the students to recapitulate whatever has been learned in the previous grade. it will reintroduce topics such as Quadrilaterals, reflective symmetry, composite shapes and triangles. In completion of the course, the students will be able to meet the objectives and competencies listed below:

Identify, draw, compare and build physical models of 2-D and 3-D shapes and focus on their attributes and describe how they affect everyday life
Apply geometric relationships and spatial reasoning to solve problems and explain everyday events and objects as well as higher geometrical ideas
Objectives
identify the properties of various quadrilaterals and reflective symmetry
Model cylinder, cones, prisms, pyramids using clay, dough or straw
Discover properties, name and construct triangles concretely
